Topic overview

Welcome back year 3! I hope you all had a wonderful week off.

Last half term we looked at Wales, this half term we are going to compare Italy to Wales and look at both the present and the past. I have uploaded the topic overview above in the Spring Term and I have added some of your ideas as well from our pupil voice session. There were so many great ideas I couldn't fit them all on, I have however, saved them to my planning.I know lots of you are excited about our new topic and I am looking forward to learning more about Italy and the Romans with you all. We have lots of children with expertise in Italian and Pompeii so please make sure you share this knowledge with us.

Happy New Year! I hope you are all safe and well. This half term we will be starting the new topic 'Home Sweet Home.' We will be learning about Wales and carrying out activities linked to the Eisteddfod. In the first week back the children will be helping to plan and create questions and activities they would like to carryout, once we have completed this I will upload the overview above.

Any questions please email me at rhys-willc@hwbcymru.net.

Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful half term. Our new topic is 'Bright Lights'. The children have had a pupil voice session and as you will see on the overview above have come up with some fantastic ideas. We will be looking at; Halloween, Bonfire Night, Divali, Hannukkah, day and night, a little bit on space and also Christmas during this topic. Any questions please contact me via email or on the yard.

Croeso Dosbarth Tri!

Welcome to class 3. We had a lovely day together on the first day back getting to know each other a bit better. It was lovely to hear all about the children's holidays and what they have been up to. We hope that this year will be more settled for all of us.

Myself and the other staff in year 3 are excited for the new year ahead, with even more emphasis on the New Curriculum and Areas Of Learning. These include Language, Literacy and Communication, Mathematics and Numeracy, Science and Technology, Health and Well-Being, Expressive Arts and Humanities. Each of these Areas of Learning will be taught through the different Topics we will be learning about throughout the year. Through all their experiences and activities the children will strive to become Healthy and Confident Individuals, Ambitious and Capable Learners, Enterprising and Creative Contributors and Ethically Informed Citizens.
