The Chinese New Year tradition of the ‘wishing tree’ began hundreds of years ago in Hong Kong.

 

During Chinese New Year and other festivals, people travel to ancient banyan trees to leave their wishes.

 

What would you wish for?

 

You could…

 

Write your wish on red ribbon and tie it too an orange. Take a photo to share your work!

 

Make a lantern and write your wish on that. Take a photo to share your work!

 

Video yourself talking about your wishes.
