Hi year 3! I hope you are all well and am so excited to see you this week! Although we will be 'catching up' in class, I will still be uploading the work on to here and on to our Google classroom. There will be powerpoints to help with some of the learning activities as well. If you are having any issues or problems accessing the online learning please email me ASAP at firstname.lastname@example.org, I will also be going through all the platforms again when we are back in school, just to make sure you can all access them.
It has been a long time since we have seen each other and so we will be having a lot of time to share our feelings. This time together is to 'Check in and catch up'. In class we will be focusing on our topic, 'Happy and Healthy', all of the activities we do in class will also be available in our Google classroom.
I can't wait to see all your smiling faces this week!!
It is the last half term of year 3 and we are not together, I am missing you all so much!
I hope you are all well and have had a fantastic half term, I know lots of you have still been busy working and I have loved seeing what you are up to. There have been some fantastic boats made to carry animals and coins. There are lots of you using seesaw but I'd love to see more videos of you on flipgrid and more of you on Google classrooms. If you are having any issues with these please email me to let me know. I will be phoning again this week and will hopefully speak to you all, if not I'll leave a message.
Take care, stay safe. Missing you all, Mrs Rhys-Williams.
Can you find out what the Celts ate? Find out if they grew it, made it or farmed it. You can create a powerpoint on Office 365, slides in Google classroom or write notes in your homework book.
Create your own outfit for either a Celt or a Roman. Show your design however you like, draw and label, make a collage using materials, make an outfit for yourself or a family member and take pictures. I'd love to see them on seesaw, flip grid or even emailed to me. Get creating Year 3!!!
Inference - here is the image from the cover of our book for the next few weeks, what do you think this book is going to be about?
We really enjoyed our autumn topic and are looking forward to our new topic!
Spring term our topic is 'What colour are a zebras stripes?' This is an animal based topic. We will be looking at different groups of animals and how they are classified and looking at different activities linked to animals and their habitats.
P.E. will take place on Tuesday [PE] and Thursday [Games] so please make sure that your child has their kit in school and that all jewellery is removed.
Your child will be encouraged to bring their reading book home every evening. Please make every effort to listen to your child read and record a comment in their Reading Record Book. Please see the comprehension questions document below, which will give you some example questions to ask as your child is reading to you. Your child needs to have their reading book in school every day!
We are very much looking forward to a very exciting term, if you would like to speak to us please either make an appointment with the office or wait until the end of the school day and we will endeavour to help as best we can.
Mrs Rhys-Williams and Mrs Kearns
