The children bring home their reading books everyday and we ask that they read at home to an adult. Their reading books must be brought into school everyday as the children have many opportunities to read. The children will have various reading experiences throughout the week, including a Guided Group Reading session. In school we focus a great deal on understanding the content of what is being read, asking a variety of questions about the content, in order to ensure they gain a full understanding of the plot, characters and themes. Please ask the children questions about their books to ensure they have understood what they have read.
PE is every Thursday and Games on Tuesday afternoon. Please ensure all children bring in suitable clothing and appropriate footwear, i.e. trainers, for indoor and outdoor PE and Games activities. This may include T-shirts, shorts, leggings, jogging bottoms and a warm top. All jewellery must be removed for PE lessons, without exception.
