This term our topic is called ‘Castles and Dragons’.
During this term, pupils will be visiting Caerphilly Castle and exploring all of its different areas.
Pupils will also be:
· Looking at castles within Wales and completing research about their chosen Castle.
· Using Talk 4 Write to learn instructions on 'How to trap to stone giant.'
· Learning about the different roles of people within Castles. Discuss the different features of castles..
· Designing and creating their own castles and dragons and making out of recycled materials.
All children are provided with milk for their morning snack. Please can you label your child's snack pot and cut grapes in half.
Guided Reading sessions are at the start of the day so its important that children are on time every morning.
Children will have different reading experiences throughout the week in guided reading sessions.
Children must bring their book bag to school every day. Your child will change their reading book at least once a week.
Pupils need to develop quick recall of their Learn Its to help them with the weekly timed tests.

PE is every Monday and Friday.
PE kits stay in school and will be sent home at the end of every half term.
Please ensure all children bring in suitable clothing and appropriate footwear, i.e. trainers, for indoor and outdoor PE and Games activities. This may include T-shirts, shorts, leggings, jogging bottoms and a warm top. Long hair needs to be tied back and all jewellery must be removed.
