This term our topic is called ‘Supermarkets’.
The maths work covered this half term will include coin recognition, making amounts and finding change. We will be using calendars to learn the months of the year and researching seasonal food. We will also be learning how to measure length, weight and capacity of different items in a supermarket.
The literacy work covered this half term will include writing shopping lists, reading food packages, making posters and writing questionnaires. We will also be reading recipes so that we can cook lots of different food.
Guided Reading sessions are at the start of the day so its important that children are on time every morning.
Children will have different reading experiences throughout the week in guided reading sessions.
Children must bring their book bag to school every day. Your child will change their reading book at least once a week.
Pupils need to develop quick recall of their Learn Its to help them with the weekly timed tests.

PE is every Monday and Friday.
PE kits stay in school and will be sent home at the end of every half term.
Please ensure all children bring in suitable clothing and appropriate footwear, i.e. trainers, for indoor and outdoor PE and Games activities. This may include T-shirts, shorts, leggings, jogging bottoms and a warm top. Long hair needs to be tied back and all jewellery must be removed.
